Evan was born in East Tennessee, the middle child in a large family. Her parents, equal and opposite in their creative eccentricities instilled in Evan what she came to value most, a curious mind. Having traveled extensively, worked in many industries, and having encountered some great teachers and mentors along the way, it is Evan's deepest desire to "pay it forward" and invest her time and energy into strengthening and championing the human spirit of those individuals who may cross her path.
Evan is a trained educator and devoted student of the Enneagram, having studied under of some of the foremost teachers in the field. In 2010 she discovered Russ Hudson and Don Riso's work with the Enneagram Institute in New York and followed their teaching closely. In 2018 she completed her teacher training in Menlo Park with Helen Palmer and the senior faculty of the Narrative Enneagram. She founded the Narrative Enneagram Nashville and offers monthly panel discussions to her community in the method of the Narrative Tradition. She is pursuing a 500-hr yoga certification with Asheville Yoga Center with a focus on trauma-informed yoga. She has taken these skills into the prison system and is dedicated to offering resources to low-income areas, to resource poor populations and to individuals who may not otherwise have access to them. Evan holds teaching and training certifications through Yoga Alliance, Issa, Radiant Coaching and the Narrative Enneagram Worldwide.
